About Denis Bulut
My approach is to design integral and substantive products, covering industrial design and visual communication.
My interest involves the whole perspective of things – considering audience, company and manufacturer as well as marketing, distribution and intended impact. The complexity in which products are situated is obvious.
My work is about creating things that can diverse from artistic to commercial, but that are always aware of their sphere.
Treating things in the right manner
It starts with getting rid of things you don’t need to define the essentials. (essential≠functional)
You will start to care more of them, defining their qualities and status and thus amplifying their connection to your everyday life.
This attitude effects everything: habits, hobbies, diet, relations and work.
A romantic yet simple example is having a wooden chopping board, treating it with oil, sanding of the ravages of time if needed, treating it again, having it around a full lifetime and maybe even leaving it to the next generation. You can adapt this example to any other habit, taste, product, brand and service. Once committed to a thing – a belonging – one will hardly change it again.
Our belongings will be selected more carefully which will enhance the demand for the perfect fit. For some this means the most regular, the most exciting, the extraordinary, the modest. But all these expositions share something in common: a more precise definition.
