The interference with the existing, such as the simple shortening of the seat of a normative, traditional chair arouses attention and astonishment – the observer is irritated. The familiar is satirized, the probably most well known mass product of the world – the white monobloc – is bereft of his function as a furniture for the masses. While one can still sit on it, the monobloc transforms from a furniture to an object though gaining significance.
